The MPIA Quality Alliance is once again delivering value to our local photonics companies working on establishing a culture of Quality. One of the foundational components of a strong Quality Management System is the establishment of an effective Document Control process. Recognizing this, the Quality Alliance will offer assistance and on effective Document Control Systems during our next training session scheduled for lunchtime on Tuesday, October 29.
This FREE seminar will highlight the purpose and value of managing documents, such as drawings, work instructions, and procedures. The presentation will outline and illustrate the easy steps to implement a basic document control system in your organization. You’ll learn ideas for document numbering systems, see examples of templates, learn when to apply version control.
If your organization is producing documents that describe the design of your product or how to build your product, then it is critical to implement a document control process. Implementing an effective Document Control Process will prevent wasted resources searching for documents, are necessary for efficient engineering development and production consistency, and reduce the risk of losing key organizational knowledge.
